Over his tenure of several decades at the Mercer County Engineer's Office Jim Wiechart oversaw both the development and construction of the Mercer County Engineer Facility as well as substantially improving Mercer County's bridge assets. The more recent and future focus of the Office is improving the significant roadway geometric deficiencies by widening; rights of ways , shoulders, clear zones and pavements as well as improving the growing ditch-tile maintenance assets.
