Bryan D. Dhume, P.E., P.S. Madison County Engineer
Bryan Dhume grew up in Madison County and graduated with a BSCE from Ohio University in 2001. While in college, he worked at the Madison County Engineer (for his predecessor’s predecessor) during summer and winter breaks, working on the road and bridge crews and in the office doing engineering and surveying. A field guy at heart, he would say he learned as much working at the county while in college as he did in school.
After graduation, Bryan worked at Jones-Stuckey, Ltd., Inc., an engineering consulting firm in Columbus, Ohio, working primarily on bridge and drainage projects, both in the office and the field. Subsequently, he spent time working at the Erie County Engineer in Sandusky, Ohio as a Project Engineer; the Logan County Engineer in Bellefontaine, Ohio as Assistant Engineer and Chief Deputy Engineer; and for C.J. Mahan Construction Company, located in Grove City, Ohio as a Field Project Manager primarily on Ohio River projects.
In 2015 Bryan ran for Madison County Engineer to move back to his home county and with a desire to make an impact for the better on the county and township road and bridge network. With a passion for asphalt pavement preservation done well, he has directly led the county’s chip seal program during his tenure and stays active in the pavement preservation industry. In 2025 he started Dhume Civil Consulting Services LLC with a focus on helping other road owners with their pavement preservation and road improvement needs.
