Cameron Keaton, P.E., P.S.
Knox County Engineer

Cameron Keaton was first sworn into office as Knox County Engineer on May 13, 2016.  He holds Civil Engineering degrees from The University of Toledo (1989) and Youngstown State University (1992).  Cameron is licensed in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor.  Member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), Ohio Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and Ohio Society of Professional Surveyors (OSPS).

In 2008 he took the position as City Engineer of Mount Vernon, Ohio.  In 2004 he began his career in public service as City Engineer of Ontario, Ohio.  Upon graduating from college in 1992, he began his career in the private sector as a project engineer and surveyor working for Richland Engineering Limited, Mansfield, Ohio (1998) and F.E. Krocka & Associates, Shelby, Ohio (1992).

Committees, boards, and memberships: County Engineers Association of Ohio (CEAO) District 5 Director, CEAO Drainage and Environmental Committee Vice Chair, CEAO Survey /Mapping/GIS Committee, Knox County Transportation Committee, Knox County Stormwater Advisory Committee, Knox County Stormwater Engineer, Knox County Land Use Committee, Ohio Public Works Central Committee and Mount Vernon Nazarene University Engineering Department Industrial Advisory Board Chair.

Cameron and his wife Christine are lifelong residents of Ohio and currently reside in Miller Township, Knox County, Ohio.  They have been residents of Knox County since 2008.
