Geauga County Engineer
Andrew W. Haupt, P.E., P.S., was elected Geauga County Engineer on January 6, 2025. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor in the State of Ohio. Haupt earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University and has built his carrer in both the public and private sectors focusing on transportation infrastructure, land surveying, drainage design, and construction management.
As County Engineer, Haupt oversees the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Geauga County's transportation infrastructuree, including county roads, bridges, and drainage systems, as well as asministration of the county tax map and survey programs. He leads the Geauga County Engineer's Office in providing engineering, surveying, and highway maintenance services that support safe and efficient transportation throughout the county.
Haupt is an active member of the County Engineers Association of Ohio and works with township officials, county leaders, and regional partners to coordinate infrastructure improvements and ensure responsible stewardship of public resources.
