Doug Bachman graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in May of 2005.  After working in the private sector and state government, he began working for the Harrison County Engineer as the assistant engineer in March of 2016.  Doug was appointed Harrison County Engineer in January of 2019.

In October of 2023, Doug resigned as Harrison County Engineer to be appointed the Tuscarawas County Engineer.
