Darren Lebrun, P.E., P.S.
Scioto County Engineer
Darren LeBrun, P.E., P.S., serves as the Scioto County Engineer, a role he has held since January 2, 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Ohio University and brings more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sector.
Darren started his career in the Scioto County Engineer’s Office as a project engineer in the late 1990s. As County Engineer, he has secured approximately $50 million in grant funding and works closely with township trustees and village and city officials to move projects forward and obtain funding throughout the county.
Earlier in his career, Darren served as County Sanitary Engineer, where he secured approximately $30 million in funding for a wastewater system serving the Minford area. That project delivered both treatment and collection components, including 30 miles of gravity sewer and a new wastewater treatment plant.
Darren actively develops the next generation of the workforce. His office mentors young engineers and highway maintenance employees through internships and early placement opportunities, and he guides high school students through job-shadowing programs that introduce them to careers in public service and infrastructure.
Darren and his wife, Courtney, live on a farm outside Minford and with their three children: Jacob, Kelsey, and Eli. Growing up in Scioto County and working in agriculture gives Darren a practical, firsthand understanding of the county’s needs and the communities its infrastructure supports.
